When you clean my office, aren’t you disinfecting it?

A couple of weeks ago we wrote a blog explaining the difference between cleaning and disinfecting (if you missed it, click here).  Because of COVID-19 and the directives that have emerged to guide businesses in re-opening, many clients are looking for deeper cleanings and additional disinfection services.

It is important to understand, that in the commercial cleaning industry, “cleaning” and janitorial services do not mean thorough disinfection services.  To meet the new demands, these additional disinfection requests are considered “critical touch point” disinfection; and it is considered an additional service.
Here are some “critical touch points” that most clients are requesting:
  • Door knobs/handles and door frames
  • All counter and desk surfaces throughout an office, in a kitchen, and/or bathroom
  • Phone handles, earpieces, computer keyboards, mouse(s)
  • Chair arm rests
  • Fixtures and partitions in a restroom
  • Staircase railings

We have created packages and plans with these additional services – if you would like a quote for the critical touch point disinfection please reach out to us at sandra@millenniumcleaning.net!
